Privacy Policy

TubTag is built on a simple principle: your data belongs to you. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond operating the app. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how it is protected.

1. Who We Are

TubTag is developed and operated by Systemata Teknicum LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. References to "we," "us," or "our" in this policy refer to Systemata Teknicum LLC.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The vast majority of TubTag data never leaves your device. The following is stored exclusively in your app's local storage:

Tub names, contents descriptions, and location assignments
Photos you attach to tubs
Location names you create
App settings and preferences
Hand-drawn label reference images

We have no access to this data. It is not transmitted to our servers or any third party. When you delete the app, this data is permanently removed from your device.

3. Data We Collect for Subscription Management

When you activate a TubTag Premium subscription using a printer bundle redemption code, we collect and store the following on our servers:

Device identifier: A non-personally-identifiable device ID (Apple's identifierForVendor) used to associate your subscription with your device. This identifier is unique to TubTag on your device and cannot be used to identify you across other apps or services.
Redemption code: The code you entered, marked as redeemed and associated with your device ID.
Subscription dates: When your subscription was activated and when it expires.

This data is stored on a server operated by Systemata Teknicum LLC and is used solely to validate and manage your subscription. It is never sold, shared, or used for any other purpose.

        Note on device transfers: If you enter your redemption code on a new device, your subscription is transferred to the new device immediately. The old device's identifier is disassociated from the subscription. No personal information is required to complete a device transfer.
    

4. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

Your name, email address, or any contact information
Location data or GPS coordinates
Usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioral tracking
Photos or tub contents from your device
Payment information (all payments are processed by Apple through the App Store)
Any data through third-party SDKs, advertising networks, or analytics services

5. Backup and Sync (AirDrop Export)

TubTag allows you to export your data as a .tubtag file and transfer it to another device via AirDrop. This export is performed entirely between your devices — we do not have access to, store, or transmit your exported data. The exported file is your responsibility once it leaves the app.

6. Children's Privacy

TubTag is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Data Security

Subscription data stored on our servers is protected with industry-standard security practices. Communications between the app and our servers are encrypted using TLS. We retain subscription records only as long as necessary to manage your subscription.

8. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your subscription record at any time by contacting us at the address below. Because we do not collect personal information, there is no profile to access or export beyond the subscription record itself.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of TubTag after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
